Today I just let the pen do the talking.  No dots.  No lines.  Just a blank square and a Micron pen.  My daily dose of expression, creativity, relaxation and just getting out of my way for a little while.  I ended up using Ynix, Jetties, BB and Fescu.  I hope you find Harmony in it.

Blue Flux

I had a great weekend!  Sure, it's still cold outside but I spent time with my kids and granddaughter, played board games, ate at a nice restaurant and generally just had a fabulous time.  At the end of it all is my quiet time.  ZENTANGLE!  I didn't realize it until now but Flux is my favorite tangle.  It's fluid.  It takes you anywhere.  I threw in some Tipple and Florz to frame it all in.  Ah, Harmony.

Baby it's cold outside

It's a cold day with freezing rain, snow and thunder
here in Kansas City.  

The perfect day to stay inside and tangle.

When I first learned the Zentangle method I struggled a bit with it being non-representational.  Meaning it could be observed from any angle.  I love how I can hold it in any direction and it looks just right.  Are you turning your heads to see if I'm right?

Homeward Bound

Every tile I make means something to me.  I've been traveling recently from home in Kansas City to Ohio, Indiana and then to Las Vegas.  On the way home I felt this spacious feeling and a mixture of so many people I visited with.  Yes, a little deep I suppose, but isn't art an expression of your inner feelings.  Puchong, Printemps and Molygon.

Footlites

I loved experimenting with Footlites.  I also used BTL Joos, Fescu, Flovine and Flux.  This one just makes me smile from every angle.  Hope you enjoy it!

A New Season

After taking a year off to plan and celebrate my daughter's beautiful wedding I am back to focusing on my Zentangle practice.

To celebrate this new season in my life I went with a variety of styles including Marbaix, Poke Leaf, Tipple and Ving.  My creative juices are flowing again!

Rosemary

Today I spent a quiet afternoon with Verdigogh, Hibred and Jetties.  At our CZT 23 Seminar we were given rosemary.  The smell is inspiring, invigorating and fresh.  I understand it helped to inspire the Verdigogh design.

A new tangle called Ellish

This is Ellish.  A new tangle I learned at the Certified Zentangle Seminar just a few weeks ago in Rhode Island.  Mine is rather simple compared to others as I walked around the room.  But it wasn't jealously I was feeling.  It was potential.  That's the thing.  The more time and practice I devote to this amazing art form the happier I am.  More please....

I'M A CERTIFIED ZENTANGLE TEACHER!

I traveled last week to Providence, Rhode Island to attend the 23rd Zentangle Seminar.  It was a dream come true.  Instruction by the founders of this incredible art form, people from 13 different countries and 30 states in America.  The energy and joy were contagious!  I have discovered a life skill that I intend to teach anyone who will stand still long enough to let me teach them.  

Oh, I'll still be making cards and doing other crafts now and then but my focus has become health of the body, mind and soul.  Yoga for my body, Zentangle and deeper study in my faith.

New to Zentangling

A friend introduced to me to the Art of Zentangling following surgery that would leave me on bed rest for months. It was not only relaxing but I really connected with it. I am by no means an artist but when I Zentangle I'm thrilled with the beauty I've created. As I am back on my feet I will incorporate this in my card making, scrapbooking and anything else I can get my hands on.  I hope you enjoy my work and it inspires you to try Zentangling for yourself.
